Snickerdoodle Cookies

It doesn’t get much better than this sweet snickerdoodle cookie recipe. The sweet taste of cinnamon rules this sweet treat, making it a great addition to your holiday dessert display.Ingredients:

For The Cookies:

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp, baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 sticks of butter, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

For The Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:

  • 1/4 C. confectioner’s sugar
  • 3 1/4 tsp. cinnamon


  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract. Add flour mixture and beat until combined.
  4. Chill the soft dough in the fridge until firm. .
  5. Toss together confectioner’s sugar and cinnamon to make the cookie coating.
  6. Shape the dough into about 1.5 tablespoon balls and then roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, and place on the cookie sheet.
  7. Slightly flatten each cookie, leaving them very thick.
  8. Bake for about 8-10 minutes, until cookies begin to brown at the edges but the center is still soft.
