So five bedrooms will become three or, maybe, if the basement and garage are right, two. Two bathrooms will become one. That antique dining table with the three leaves that allowed for huge dinner parties will have to go. And all of the books and toys and miscellaneous items we have will have to be culled through and many donated or given away. All of that glorious pantry space will disappear, too. The result? We will be saving money. We will be living in a beach town that the tourists still don't know about. We will live closer to family. I will be able to walk wherever I want without fear, be it in town or on the beach (I wrote about an incident last September that still keeps me from taking walks here). We will improve our quality of life and getting one step closer to the dream we have for our family.
Have you had to make this choice? Are you considering this option in your life? What changes would you make to help your family save money and reach goals?
