Oh! "ME" time! Wow! LOL - I'm another one who rarely sees me time. I vow to make a change real soon, though, now that I've just taken the freelance plunge! :)

2 weeks ago I was working 60-70 hours a week, with not more than 4-5 hours of sleep a night, and definitely NO me time... but now I am back to a reasonable 40 hours of work (on MY stuff and MY clients, etc.) - I have guaranteed time w/ DD and DH now every afternoon and evening, which is great!

I do need some time dedicated just to myself though - one thing I enjoy is a relaxing candle-lit bath, something I should get back to on a weekly basis. Some good pampering is a great way to spend some me time.

But then again, now I'm finally getting 8 hrs of sleep a night, so that's FANTASTIC and I'm loving it! :)

I'm proud of you for not vacuming as part of you me time last weekend ;)

Yvie: It's good that you found a way to relax -- you make a good point about how you don't have to do those traditional "me time" activities in order to experience "me time"!

blaperMJ: The disconnect felt wonderful for a while -- and then, of course, the guilt set in ("Am I missing an important email?") and then I smacked the guilt upside the head and went back to hanging out with my kids...

Lylah - I totally connect with you on this -- not much ME time for me either..... For me, just disconnecting from work and housework and spending family play time, baking, watching a movie, etc.... That's ME time -- it's not work! Whatever works for you to rejuvenate your spirit -- that's what matters!

After I quit my job, I was able to spend a little "me" time in the house. I guess the stress is still there as I believe that I still got it after I had Adley.

Sure, sometimes I sneak out (only in my mind) for a few hours to have a pedicure or a haircut, or when I go shopping for groceries. By doing those kind of activities it relaxes me in a way that I'm doing some things on my own without the need to go to a night-out with my friends.
