Welcome to the new and refreshed Work It, Mom!. If you're an existing member you'll notice that some things have changed but we hope it's all for the better.
As with all new things, we're bound to run into some issues but trust that we're working on them! We'd love to hear your feedback.
My name is Kathy Howe and I will be the host of this blog for Work It, Mom!
I am VERY excited to be here and will post something of substance later today. Until then, say hello and tell me a little something about your work life.

Hi Kathy! I’m glad there’s a corporate-life blogger here now, since that’s where I spend my time (nonprofit, but since the name’s got “Inc.” at the end, still corporate), in the accounting department. I’m looking forward to your stories.
I work in a very interesting place, with lots of overachievers and strong personalities. High-tech meets soap opera. It’s rarely boring and always challenging. That’s why I like it!

Florinda…you ask the red Swingline stapler question like there are actually OTHER staplers.
I work for a fortune 100 company, and the things I like most are - the vacation time, the expense account, and the salary.
I used to teach nursery school, which I loved, but moved to this company because I could do more than fill my gas tank and buy lunch with my weekly paycheck.

And is that stapler a red Swingline?

Today my work life is competing with my personal life for my attention. Argh.

Office Space was on TV last night so my husband and I watched it…. again. Hang on to your stapler, Kathy, and so great to have you here!

My current corporate employer is the pits. That being said, if you haven’t seen Dilbert for Sunday, 7/15 - you’ll get a heckuva laugh, I’m certain.
