yes, any woman wiht a child sould certainly elbow her babydaddy in the head with the suggestion of #5 at 6am. however, i have it on good authority that even a tired daddy will be ok with occasionally (and i mean occasionally) waking up a whole 15 minutes early if it's the wifes idea!!

Jamie! i love what you said about how you guys show each other you love one another. i think soemtimes we get caught up in the 'well i do this for you' contest we just forget the power of 'thank you' and the appreciation that it shows when it is truely meant! thanks for the reminder :) i dont think it's archaic - i think it's sweet and nice!

I remember reading this kind of article is several women's magazines. I beleive they revamp it just a bit and republish every year or so. Too bad I no longer have time to read them!

I am a step back in time... or so some would say about my archaic methods of pleasing my hubby.

I will pick up his plate from the table and take it into t
he kitchen, not because he wouldn't do it...but because I want to.

I cook dinner for him every night. And he always says "Thank you".

Season tickets to the Ducks Football games... yep, I'm sitting next to him. Even though I don't care for football.

On a more personal note... maybe waking him in the morning isn't such a great idea, it doesn't hurt to have a little surprise here and there... maybe on a Friday night when he gets home from work and the kids all happen to be gone.

Life is good when your man is happy... because when he is happy, he is a better husband and father. That makes all of us happy.

Kate, obviously #5 was with a "wink, wink" but my point was that sleep is so precious when you have a kid, that to shorten the sleep cycle would be criminal :) [I almost did #5 for my wife and then thought better of it, as I'd probably have gotten an elbow to the head in response at 6am :) ]

haha i agree all of your comments! except maybe for #5, i think maybe they meant you would be waking him with um.. a 'purpose' *wink*wink*

ahh what do i do for my hubby? i leave work early occasionally and come home and make dinner. he LOVES this! I also get up with the kiddo on the weekends and make breakfast - he gets a little extra sleep and i get quality time (and breakfast!) with our son!

Ha ha. I remember back when I actually used to read these kinds of magazine lists. No time for that now! Well, although my husband is completely neglected these days, I do try to tend to the most important things in life. For him: that's beer and humor. :) So I try to make him laugh and I pick up a 6-pack of his favorite beer every so often. That's about all I can manage right now as we are both so busy with work/house/kiddo stuff, you know?
