Last creative project I did with my son was create a giant bug out of recyclable items (soda bottles, cans & toilet paper rolls) for Earth Day for his school.   Naturally, he told me he had the project due 30 MINUTES BEFORE BEDTIME!!  (Currently working on him bringing his notes home from school...and adding his projects to the calendar)  It actually turned out really cool (it was a huge green dragonfly! YAY MOUNTAIN DEW!), and it's teaching me to refrain from doing my kid's projects for them (which is a lot harder than it sounds!)  We all want our kids projects to be the most awesome and creative in the class, but I think it's the lessons learned while creating them that are the most important, like how to manage time, problem solve and frustration tolerance.  Those are also lessons I'm still learning at 28!!
