I have two girls, one is 3 and the other is 5.  We have numerous rituals but my favorite are...

My three year old doesn't have pre-school on Tuesdays so after we drop off my other daughter at school we go out to breakfast at a diner and come home and take a nap together. 

We go out to dinner on Friday nights with our daughters, so if someone gets a special reward at school or does something at home that shows exceptional good behavior, they get to pick the restaurant.

And finally, on birthdays I don't buy gifts and wrap them up to be opened; we all go to the toy store together as a family and the birthday girl gets to have her own shopping spree! To keep my other daughter from feeling left out we let her pick out one toy too.

 The best times of my life have been with my girls.  Before I had them I really didn't know what a good time really was.
