Outdoor Exercise and Allergy Season

Along with checking the weather and choosing the best time of day to exercise, here are a few useful tips to get your outdoor exercise in during allergy season:
· See your doctor before the start of allergy season and ask about daily medications to keep your allergies under control.
· Try exercising with a bandana over your mouth on days when the pollen counts are high.
· After outdoor exercise, shower and change your clothes.
Sometimes the only solution for many allergy sufferers is to exercise indoors during peak allergy season. Keep various exercise DVD’s on hand for days when the only option is to exercise indoors. But if you watch the time of day, and check the pollen counts, an outdoor jog, bike ride or fitness walk is possible. With the right knowledge and by taking preventative measures, there is no need to let allergies interfere with your fitness regimen.
