Just When You Think You Get Your Kids . . .

Someone once told me, back when I was mom of one, "You just get used to dealing with a 7 month old and they become an 8 month old, and when you get that age, they`re 9 months!" So true . . . but what no one ever told me was that you get used to kid number one and along comes kid number two.
My first son was difficult from the beginning. He had multiple surgeries and though he was a happy kid and advanced for his age, he never slept. And he cried a lot at night. But we learned to deal with it.
Along came son 2 . . . a complete difference. He was quiet. He slept for 6+ hours right from the beginning and was perfectly content to lay in his crib quietly, waiting for someone to pick him up. I was in heaven. Surely, I thought, This is what I deserve after the first one.
Then the second one hit 3 months and turned from pacific to screeching and never looked back. Now, at 14 months, he`s a holy terror and his brother was NEVER this bad, even at his worst! I had no idea two different 14 month old babies could be SO INCREDIBLY different! :S
