WEEKLY THEME: Do you see any upside to the down economy?

As time goes on, companies will discover freelancers and homeworkers of all varieties. Those of us who are freelancers, like me, do a specific job or have a specific set of skills. Employers will want to hire someone on a per project basis or for a certain number of hours rather than pay them to "be there" and dress a desk just because their workday ends at 5, for example.

So, I have been vetting these clients, those industries who have writing needs, yet no staff writers, and small businesses begun by people who have been laid off from their previous job. It's kind of like a revolution, isn't it? It's a freelancers revolution and I'm right up front.

Anyway...that's what my crystal ball tells me. :)
