Zumba
So I've been to my third Zumba class held at my local YMCA.
At first I felt like a total loser...but that's passed and I'm really enjoying it.
I honestly thought that I was the only one in the entire class that couldn't swing my arms and move my feet at the same time, but one quick glance around revealed I was WRONG! My stressing over the right movements and how I looked and what other people were doing was seriously my inability to chill. After the first night I remember calling my husband on the way home and nearly wanting to cry. It was really stressful to feel like such an outsider, not knowing anyone or the moves or even what to wear weighed pretty heavy on me. But I gave it a second try and met someone really nice that had the same feelings I did, actually a few people did! My instructor is a totally nice person and she's so energetic and just oozes confidence.
I am so glad that I tried it and that I can say I really like it. Another bonus is my abs feel tighter already and with my new approach to eating a little healthier and a little less and less has helped me drop over 5 pounds (6 to be exact) in two weeks. My pants fit just a wee bit looser and I feel more limber. I am very happy I stuck with it and will continue with it because I like it, I like how I feel when I do it and I like how I feel when I'm done. Even though I'm sweaty and sore I feel a little brighter and to me that's a hella difference.
I hope that anyone who's ever been interested in it to do it, even if you are doing it by yourself!
And don't forget to give it at least two tries! Three would be my recommendation!!!!
