Adventures in Extreme Poverty, Part 11

So I sucked it up, got myself worked up and ready to call the IRS to work out a payment plan, and in the mean time (yesterday) got to work refiguring my taxes on the OFF chance that I could somehow work my deductions creatively enough to eliminate what I owed.

And guess what happened???

I Didn't need to rework my deductions. Somehow in the first figuring of my taxes I made an error. AND the end result............a very nice refund is expected from state and federal.

Hm.

I still don't completely trust it, but I had two differant people check the numbers for me, and it seems........I am, indeed, getting money back. Go figure?!

So now. I e-filed (for free) and should have my refunds within 2 weeks. WHICH ALSO MEANS, I can use that money to 'almost' catch up on rent, pay a couple of bills and get my bank account back in the black. EITHER WAY, it will be a life raft of sorts in this sea of debt.

My level of relief is palpable.

The kids are gone today, I slept in. And I have a ton to get done. Housekeeping and what not. Tomorrow.......I have the interview I had to reschedule from the other day when I had no gas.

So.

Cross your fingers.
