Coming from a French family with German roots, organization and tidiness was very important. There was no "junk" anywhere and every little thing had its place. If it did not, it was recycled/ donated/ thrown away.
When I came to America, it seemed everyone had a "junk drawer" (in their kitchen usually), with just odds and ends... the "miscellaneous" stuff that does not have its place, from thread to matches to coupons.
Do you have a junk drawer and what type of things do you keep in it?
Do you try to keep it organized somewhat and how often to do clean it up?
