My business has grown slowly since then, because shortly after, I had another baby, and wasn't spending a whole lot of time working, but I have been back full swing for a couple of months now. I found MyWorld Plus through another mom, and looked over what they offered, and was really impressed with their product and signed up with them as a second business. It's a discount card that lets you save money at over 175,000 stores. We had 250 within a 5-mile radius of my house, many that I already shopped at on a regular basis, plus I earn a check from them, too. The income from both companies, coupled with the savings, have let me cut my hours back to just two days a week waiting tables, and by the end of summer, when my second child starts kindergarten, I will be home full time.
I recently added another business to my list, mainly just because it's a fun one, and my kids wanted me to do it, but also because it's easy, free to start, and has an awesome product. This company is called Stuff-n-Snuggle. I signed up for it last week, signed up five reps AND had my first sale the next day. It's crazy!
3.) What's your dream job?
While I don't see myself quitting any of my home businesses anywhere in my future -- they just add so much to my life -- my dream job would be to have my own little shop filled with nothing but handmade things. My aunt and I have been dreaming about it for years. We would love to get our family involved, they are all so talented.
4.) Tell us a few things on your Life To-Do List.
My life's to do list is pretty simple, because I have a great life. The biggest thing on my list is to get our house built. We bought three acres about eight years ago, with the intention of building our dream home. Hurricane Ivan forced us to move onto our property before we were ready. We ended up buying a doublewide mobile home and placing it on the property because we had to move quickly, and needed something right then. It's a nice home, but it's not our dream home. We are still planning what we want. It's going to be a dome house, because they are as close to hurricane proof as you can get (nothing for the winds to catch on and rip off your roof) and earth friendly, and it won't cost us an arm and a leg to run the A/C in the summer! There are lots of things I would like to do, but this is the one thing I really want. I have a wonderful husband, and three great kids. I really don't need anything else.
