Each week we introduce you to a new member here at Work It, Mom!, and this week we'd like you to meet Giazz, a Jazz musician and Renaissance Faire performer who lives in Massachusetts with her husband and their 4-year-old son.

1.) What do you do?

I currently work full time as a contractor at Comverse Technology, Inc., in Wakefield, Massachusetts. I also am part of Market America, which I do part time (I've been in that for four years). I also perform with my husband doing Renaissance Faires around the New England area, and just recently learning about event planning. My husband and I put together a Renaissance Faire for The Winslow Animal Sanctuary in Norton, Massachusetts, which was this past June, and it was a success, so we will be talking to them about doing it again for next year.

2.) How did you end up in your current career?

I guess I never finished college, so that's why I'm still stuck as the contractor. I am currently looking for a more permanent situation, but with all this other stuff going on, I am learning to network myself for my music life and performing life.

3.) What's your dream job?

My dream job? Well, I would like to own a jazz club some day, or just do performing full time and write about it.

4.) Tell us a few things on your Life To-Do List.

Get a full time job and/or perform for a living, or help plan with events. Own a house. Go to England/Europe. Go back to college to get my degree. See my son grow up healthy and strong.

5.) What's for you the toughest challenge when it comes to juggling work and family?

The toughest challenge for me is knowing I leave my son and I can't spend that much time with him, so I try to make it up on the weekends. I would like to add that if it wasn't for my mother-in-law watching my son, I would be up a creek without a paddle.
