1.) What do you do?

I have started a business, www.WomenCanHaveItAll.com. Our goal is to empower mothers one city at a time.  Right now, we are growing in Queens, New York.  As far as I have researched, there are no local mom entrepreneur communities here.  There are the non profit organizations such as Queens Economic Development Corp., Queens Women’s Business Center, and other business centers, but none that help moms manage a business and a family.  So I decided to start such organization.  If you are in Queens area, join us.

2.) How did you end up in your current career?

Three years ago after reading Robert Kiyosaki’s book, I decided that I want to be a business owner.  I was searching for my passion and finally after having my second child and people telling me “You just wanna have it all, huh?” it hit me that my passion is to empower mothers.

I have always been ambitious and never wanted to give up on having a family or my personal dreams.  I remember watching E News as a teenager when Victoria Secret models were interviewed.  At that time, some of them -- such as Stepahnie Seymour -- were having babies.  The interviewer asked how they manage both.  I will never forget their answer: “Don’t expect everything to be perfect.”  That has stuck with me, and I knew that if those models could do it, I could, too.

My goal was to never give up on my personal goals, even after becoming a mother.  I always wanted to be financially independent.  I also do not want people to view mothers as less capable business owners or money managers.  My goal is to declare to the world, “I am a mother and just as capable, if not more, to be a savvy business owner and investor.”

3.) What is your dream job?

To grow my business globally, write books, be an expert contributor to the media, and host a television show.

4.) Tell us a few things on your Life To-Do List.

In addition to what I mentioned above, I would like to take a year off from working and travel the world with my husband.

5.) What's for you the toughest challenge when it comes to juggling work and family?

Being right in the middle of where you are too poor to afford a lot of help with the kids and errands, but too rich to qualify for free help.  Sometimes I wish I could be able to afford a personal assistant always next to me to help me stay organized and running smoothly.  Another tough part is when kids get sick.  It just stops everything.
