When my husband makes a smoothie in the morning, I have him double up and then pour the extra into popsicle makers. Later, when the kids want a snack, they think they're getting a popsicle treat, whereas I know it's actually healthy!”

Showing 1-9 of 218 Lifesavers
Masking tape is my current lifesaver: The little kids will play with it for ages, and if they stick it to the wall or the floor it comes off easily!
Make a quick-change kit (a couple of diapers, a few wipes, and a T-shirt or onesie in a plastic bag) and stash it in your diaper bag. When you need to change your child, just grab it and go!
I keep packages of instant oatmeal and a few tiny boxes of raisins in my desk at work. When I want to eat cookies, I mix up a cup of the oatmeal, sprinkle on the raisins, and have that instead. It's a close second to a cookie, but much better for you!
Traveling for business? Take digital pictures of your packed luggage (open and closed), leave the images on your camera, leave a copy at home (or on your computer), and put the prints with your passport and tickets. If your bag is lost or any item is missing, you have picture-perfect evidence to show officials -- and may even get your stuff back.
i spent long hours travelling in the co. bus....so while travelling to office i plan about 'things to do at office", while travelling back home i plan about "things to do at home"...i also maintain a small notepad which helps me scribble anything that come s to my mind (know its traditional but its very effective) like things to buy on weekend, important things to discuss with boss or doctor)
I set a kitchen timer for my 9 year old. She has 10-15 minutes for each part of her morning routine (getting dressed, eating breakfast, etc). It helps her know if she's moving too slow and it's fun for her to try and beat the clock.
Buy a package of clothespins at the grocery store and use them instead of twist ties on things such as bread, plastic bags etc. So much easier! I delight in ripping off the twist ties that come on things and replacing it with a clothespin. I even use them on things in the freezer.
Combine fitness and family time: instead of trying to squeeze in a trip to the gym after the kids go to bed and before I collapse, we spend our evenings outside doing something active. We walk in the park, play ball, play tag, whatever... It's family time for Dad & kids, it's relaxing (no mess in the house), it gets the kids ready for bed, and it gets us burning calories. Plus our kids are learning that it's more fun to be active & playing than to be sitting in front of the tv.
I've taken multitasking to a new level and built a Treadmill Desk!! Take a used or new treadmill with straight arms (important), velcro down a small shelf, add your laptop (and in my case, an extended keyboard) - and start walking! I can easily walk and type at about 1 MPH. It's very slow - but after a morning at work, I'm totally guilt free if I don't find time to work out. A work-at-home luxury that I hope will inspire some of you -- walk on!
