Study: You need 8 hours of sleep -- and not an hour less -- to function well

According to a recently completed comprehensive sleep study, you need 8 hours of sleep to function well and be healthy. While previous theories suggested that for some adults 6 or 7 hours might be enough, this study showed that adults who sleep less than 8 hours show declines in working memory and sustained attention.
