What do you do when you tell your boss that you're quitting and he offers you a raise? Well, one thing you shouldn't do is jump right up and accept it. If you haven't considered that this might happen before you went in to give your notice, ask for some time to think about it. Does this really change your mind or are the reasons for your leaving still there? According to research, most employees don't leave because of pay issues but because they are not satisfied with their jobs.
