Evansmom, I remember struggling with the same decision -- and talking numerous friends through the exact tough spot. If it's any encouragement to quit, I left a six-figure job as CEO of a small ad agency when my son turned one. I started a freelance business from home and earned more in its first year than I had as CEO of my former company. Now that freelance business is a $5 million ad agency -- in an office building about 5 minutes from my son's school. When you say you don't want to stay at home full time, what are you thinking you might do? If you're considering starting a company, I've got plenty of free advice!
