- I try to say yes to any request to try something (climb a tree, cross a creek, jump off the deck, build a bag swing) that I'm pretty sure will result in nothing worse than a broken arm. Playing with power tools, electricity or fire won't get the go ahead, but just about anything else will.

- Always make them sleep in their own bed. (I let my son sleep with me when my husband's out of town. I love his warm little feet kicking me all night long.)
- Favorite activity with my kids:
- Anything outdoors. Or cuddling on the couch in the morning over coffee and hot chocolate.
