How do you deal with a Great Grandmother's interference in how you raise your child? I am a grandmother of 2 beautiful babies, one is 4 the other 18 months. My mother has been around the 4 year old more since I lived out of town. She took care of her

I think you have to set boundaries for great grandma. Tell her that you appreciate that she loves the kids but it is your daughters responsibility to be the mom. You only have to enjoy your time with them but parenting is for the next generation. Times have changed and so has parenting. This is your daughters turn to be the best mom she can be and that may be different that what you or your mom would have done. Tell her that your daughter is a wonderful and that you both have to step back and let her enjoy being a mom with out criticism. As long and the kid is happy and healthy then obviously your daughter is doing a fantastic job.
