Has anyone tried one of those places where you can go and prepare meals for the week and freeze them, etc? I was wondering if it was worth it. I never have time to make a decent meal.

Here are some places in San Diego, so you can get an idea of what we are talking about. I agree with spacegeek; they aren't as good as your own cooking, but if you're short on time, they sure beat fast food. (And you can control the ingredients to some degree, e.g. less salt, more heat, etc.). Some of these stores have locations in places other than San Diego; check out their web sites if you are curious. Or, a Google search on "meal preparation [your town] might bring up stuff nearer to you. www.sssdtierrasantaca.com, www.dinnerstudio.com, http://www.dinnerafare.com/, http://dreamdinners.com

I used to go quite a bit but got out of the habit because we had such wierd schedules I found myself defrosting food that we ended up not being home to eat. That was before we had kids. I highly recommend it!!! I live in San Diego and am lucky enough to have several different places to choose from, which helps. Each place has their own "slant" and I find that I like the flavors of certain shops more than others. It's a heck of a lot of fun to go. Take a friend, buy the biggest package you both can afford, and you can split meals together if you like. I would say, go for it!
