About me:
I have changed a bit after being told that I had stage 4 Stomach Cancer on 9/12/06. This means that for three years prior to this, the so called Acid reflux that my primary doctor told me I had was really cancer all along. But, thanks be to the Grace and Mercy of God and the prayers of family and thousands of saved folks around this country, God spared my life! I am forever grateful that the Lord heard my cry and the cry of many...If you didn't,prayer changes things!! I had my first surgery 9/18/06, my stomach was removed then my surgeon replaced it with a portion of my lower intestine. He also removed 22 lymph nodes and removed cancer from spleen. However, he left the spot found on my liver for a later surgery. I endured some very strong Chemotherapy from 10/06 thru 12/06, then my second surgery 1/29/07. The first surgery went well and I recovered faster that the doctor thought possible...God is Good folks!! However, the second surgery took more time for me to recover from, but my doctor told me that I am cancer free now!!! continue below... The 118th Psalms verse 17 from "The Holy Bible" was given to me by my youngest sister to meditate on. I went on and read the entire Psalm and found great hope and trust in a God that has changed my life completely. I have to give Him all the praise and glory for what He has done for me and my family. People, I am a walking miracle...stage 4 cancer, my doctor recently told me that, I should have been gone a year ago. I responded with "God had something else planned for my life!! The doctors don't know how I got stomach cancer, he asked me about working around chemicals etc.,but I do know that a diet high in processed foods,(which are loaded with sodium nitrates),chard foods, etc. The other issue was that most stomach cancers occur in people 60 and higher, orientals due to diet. I've also learned that "Acid Reflux" can lead to cancer if not properly treated and changes in diet occurs!! Please take heed and have yourselves checked out regularly and take your health into your own hands. There are many people who don't survive this type of cancer!! continue below.... My new stomach works fine, I just can't eat the large meals and I eat very little processed foods and meats as possible. I've given my life back to Christ, however, you can never pay Him for all that He has done for us. But, I am sooo grateful to God for given me another chance to do the right thing...Give Him My Life! Live my new life to the Glory of the Almighty! Finally, we don't have alot of time left regardless of what life brings our way..."Choose This Day Whom You Will Serve" Peace,Love,Good Health, and God Bless You!

  • Welcome Celeste! It's amazing all the hardship that you have gone through and lived to tell about it. If you are willing, I'd like to suggest that you share your story of fighting cancer with our community as an article. I'm a moderator for the site, so let me know if you need any help getting started around here. Since you're home with the kiddos, I thought you might like to check out this blog.
