Do you have an emergency kit in your home? If so, what is in it and where do you keep it?
Answered on 5th June 2008:
Sort of... Not a great answer. I have stored in the basement water, some canned food, a blanket that I think is now trashed. A few years ago I heard the tornado sirens go off. I was home alone with a 2year old and 6 month old and 2 dogs. I took everyone into the basement and waited. Luckily nothing happend, but I was mad that were not prepared in case of an emergency. It usually takes a very close call to figure out what you do need to do. We were actually under a tornado watch this morning, and I was lying in bed planning just in case. You would think that we would be better prepared now, especially with my husband being a volunteer firefighter.
