I treasure the kindness of everyone during that time and what I least enjoy is going to a store and someone acting as if it is the biggest bother in the world to ring you up!
I treasure the family time the most, especially now. My stepkids alternate which parent they spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with each year, so we don't really get the full holiday with them. And now that my son's officially On His Own and living on the opposite coast, I'm not taking it for granted that he'll join us for Christmas every year - he does have his dad too, and who knows how soon he'll have in-laws to consider as well? He'll be with us this year - and bringing his girlfriend - but that's *this* year.
And that's probably the part I'll enjoy the least, *after* this year - but right now, it's the too-much-to-do-and-not-enough-time quandary, which just gets worse during the holidays.
Oh easy-- I treasue most baking cookies with my family. The kids are sooooo happy. We talk about what they think Santa will bring....It is just a simple way to be close as a family.
Oh and without a doubt the think I most dislike is the financial burden Christmas has become!
