How do you handle those times in the career where you're busy but without concrete proof to show for your efforts? I have lots of irons in the fire, spend my day answering emails, reaching out to prospective partners for my company, etc. But I'm in a valley on results ... and meanwhile there are 7 baskets of laundry to fold, clutter everywhere, and I haven't been on the treadmill in a week.”

  • Thanks, everyone. I just wanted to come back and say that I'm on the upside of that plateau now. I still haven't found time for the personal side of my life, but at least I'm seeing results from my efforts now. Whew.

  • Break each goal down into small steps, and focus on the progress you're making on each of those steps. Sometimes, it's difficult to see how all of your efforts add up unless you stop and acknowledge each bit of effort!

  • I just take it one day at a time and stay focused on the big picture. Hang in there and DO NOT GIVE UP!

  • You have to remember that what you are working on is more important than laundry. You are doing fine, much worse scenario would be if you kept thinking that you need to do laundry and organize clutter before anything else, and as a result not getting any work done.
