For the past several years it has been a quiet night at home. Usually in bed long before the new year rings in. This year the kids and I are going snowboarding during the day and will most likely be in bed sleeping before midnight.
New Years is my birthday. We always make a round to several friends homes. We don't and won't drink and drive. We never stay until 12. We come home by 11 and we spend it with our family. We set off poppers filled with confetti and such. I make a special platter of munchies. We never miss the ball drop. We dance and play games. I have never been one to go to first night in our community. Usually its to cold and the kids are tired. Now on New Years Day. I make a birthday breakfast of the things I like. For once I don't care about a diet. I have french toast with berries I froze. I have for dinner a pork roast, cabbage, beans, homemade bread........ok so its country food . For a birthday cake I have a piece of applesauce cake. And I have my whole family over. And we toast to the new year with a special bottle of wine that I purchased. SO TO YOU AND YOURS HAVE A VERY SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEARS!
My husband and I began staying home several years ago after our first daughter was born. We usually have a few friends over and enjoy some food and drinks to ring in the New Year!!!

If anyone sees that I reported what Shelly posted. I am sorry my 2 year old grandson came into my office and was playing with my mouse. I didn't mean for this to be reported and don't know how ti fix it.
It's our anniversary - the 4th !! we have some many "want to do's" ... but we bought a new house in the spring, so we may all just end up going to dinner and watching the fireworks on t.v. In past we have stayed overnight in Newport, RI at our engagement site, walking around town and watching fireworks at the waterfront. We brought our son last year, although he will most likely not remember it was fun to share that with him.
