Looking for advice on re-entering the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom for 12 years. I am going through a very painful divorce and need thoughts on getting potential employers to look past the 12 year gap on my resume. As a college graduate and former creative services director, I know that getting a great job will help reduce the powerless position I find myself in these days. Any thoughts?”

  • Just because you weren't earning an income for 12 years doesn't mean you didn't work. You can add things like volunteer work & running your household. Things like balancing your household budget show that you were using math skills. I think it would also help for you to take some computer classes on the latest software used today.
