I am about to become a mom for the first time. Last year I accepted a promotion that requires frequent travel for my job (anywhere from 3-4 nights/month to 10 nights/month). Are there any other moms in this situation and if so, how do you handle it? My husband, although incredibly supportive, is in graduate school and has as much of a demanding schedule as I do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.”

  • My significant other had this same issue and it can be very difficult if one doesn't have a family member to help out when you are out of town. I see your post is several months old so I'm hopeful you found a way to deal with this situation without putting a strain on your relationship. I think the only good answer is to try to negotiate less time away from home with your employer. Good luck.
