How many times a week do you work out and when do you do it?”

  • My goal is to workout 4 times a week. I realized a while ago that the gym was out the question because I just couldn't fit it in. So I wake up at 4:30 a.m. four days a week and do a 30 minute video of either yoga or pilates. I started this routine in December and have lost 20 pounds (which was my goal!!!!). So I am excited to stay that this workout plan is really working for me. I also enjoy the down time in the morning when all is quiet.

  • I actually work out 5-6 days a week. It helps that I am a Jazzercise instructor :) I teach 3-4 days a week (depending on week) and then I workout M/W at the fitness center in my office building. Usually 30 min of cardio. My kids activities are on M/W/F evenings, so T/Th evenings, I am able to teach as well as Sat/Sun mornings. It makes a huge difference in how I feel. When I don't workout I don't have the energy to do the little things.

  • I am training for a sprint triathalon so I have to work out 5 times a week, I am trying to fit it in the morning when my 5 month old is still sleeping or right before dinner so I don't miss out on too much time with her. It's been hard though!

  • I work out 2-3 times a week after the kids go to school. I try for at least 30 minutes of dancing and stretching.

  • I exercise 2-3 times a week by walking at lunch with a co-worker. When it's too cold outside we walk laps in the lower level of our building. We walk for about 30 minutes each time. It's not a lot but it has seemed to make a difference and my clothes are already fitting looser. My son is 9 months old and I'm still trying to lose the baby weight!

  • I work out 1x a week. Early Sunday Mornings when everyone else in the house is still asleep. I try my best to get out and get as much out of the hour as possible. Now, it's nothing compared to the 5x a week I used to work out pre-kids, but it's still something.

    Plus, I get quite the workout during the week lifting, hoisting, carrying, swinging, chasing, climbing up the stairs, climbing down the stairs with all of the day to day things my kids bring on. When I'm making dinner, I also do squats...looks funny and my kids laugh, but it works out my legs...I do that 5x a week. When I'm on the floor with my kids, I also throw in a few leg stretches in while we play go fish or board games.
