Does anyone have a GOOD experience with facebook? I can't believe what these kids talk about and the photos they show of each other! The swearing and sexually suggestive photos the girls post are really unbelievable. Am I old fashioned?
well i see there are others, besides me. i recently posted a blog being new to the site (today) im having problems with my son,he hates school, marijuana, probably drinking, cigarettes for sure, attitudes, fighting being disrespectful, i need help. I sent him to my dad and now he wants to come home. what do i do? im feeling guilty and sad. I don't want him to try and fight my dad. i just don't know what to do, he needs help and im at a stand still. I can't afford to send him to a boot camp which i think he needs. So to my dad he went. I just want to yell.
I totally agree! My son is the same - slides by with the minimum necessary for school. Doesn't understand that now that he's in high school, grades actually count! All he's ever been interested in is music and the music program at the HS isn't great. So now we're trying to get him in to a 1/2 day magnet program for music in hopes that it inspires him to love something about his life!
I'm a little late in responding (I just joined the group recently), but I also have two teenagers. An 18 year old daughter (with whom it has been a smooth ride) and also a 14 year old son (who I would like to ship to the moon!) He's really having a rough time right now....attitude, hates school, acts like no punishment bothers him at all, says he hates his life because of me, etc. etc. Of course, with his next breath, he's smiling and asking for a new video game? Not sure if I will make it through this!! LOL. I'd love to connect with other mom's of teens!
I have a fifteen year old daughter. She's delightful, with a bit of grumpy around the edges recently. We get along extremely well. I find this miraculous as I fought constantly with my mother growing up.
I have two kids, a son, age 14 and a daughter, age 11 1/2. I'm just astounded at the intensity and focus my son has on everything sex. He laughs hysterically at all the comedy on TV that parodies the genders and it seems all conversations end up with sex. Is this the way all boys start out? Yikes!
