Am I the only one who seems to need a certain amount of just flaking out in the morning, blog-walking and checking email, before they can get down focused on work? ”

  • I used to check the news websites, gossip, etc before starting my work. I learned about a year ago though that I never know how much time I am going to have to work so I better get right to it. I try to check out the news and gossip in the afternoon now.

  • You are not alone...I am not a good morning person and I need time just to BE in the morning before I get my day going. I too, read e-mails and surf the web a bit, it helps me get into the work mind-set.

  • I used to do this - I considered it warm up:)

  • No, you definitely have company with this one! :-) I'm kind of like Kate, though - sometimes I spend a bit TOO much time "flaking," and then it's tough to get going on the business at hand.
