Vacuum Sealer / FoodSaver

Vacuum Sealer / FoodSaver

The cost of bags makes this item a bit on the pricey side, but it makes storing food so much easier that we're going to go ahead and call it a necessity for busy working moms. Tilia's FoodSaver Advance has been updated with a sleek look and better functionality, and we have to admit that it's really, really cool to pull a vacuum-sealed bag of ready-to-eat food out of the freezer and heat it up in the microwave or even in a pot of hot water (campers, take note!). The machine costs about $200 at Chefs Catalog, and you can buy reusable bags on sale at Amazon.com or even on Ebay.
