World's Easiest, Juiciest Chicken Recipe

Not only does this barely require any prep work, but this crockpot salsa chicken only has two ingredients! This is our go-to recipe on busy days. When it's done cooking, the chicken so tender is falls apart and you can shred it with just a fork. Serving it with corn tortillas and fresh guacamole is our favorite way to eat it, but we also love it on salads and sandwiches.

Crockpot Salsa Chicken Recipe


  • 4 medium sized chicken breasts
  • 1 jar salsa of choice (we like it with both salsa verde or regular salsa)
  • Optional: salt, pepper, spices to taste


  • Place the chicken in your crockpot or slow-cooker.
  • Pour the salsa over the chicken until the chicken is just covered. Add spices if desired.
  • Cook on low for roughly 10-12 hours.
  • Drain some of the liquid and then shred with a fork.


We like to set this up in the morning and then come home to a warm meal. It makes the whole house smell AMAZING!
