Comforting Chicken Pot Pie

Nothing screams comfort like a classic chicken pot pie. Thankfully this recipe is so simple; you can just about make it whenever you want. This version is a little lighter than some too, so you can feel guilt-free when preparing this for you and your family.


  • 1 9-inch packaged, uncooked pie crust
  • 2 cups cubed cooked chicken
  • 1 can green beans
  • 1 can cooked carrots
  • 1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3 tbs flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Grease a skillet and set aside. Mix all the ingredients besides the pie crust in a large bowl and then pour into the skillet. Top with the pie crust and poke holes in it. Cook in an oven at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour, or until the crust is golden brown.
