KFC Chicken

Fried chicken is an undeniable guilty pleasure. Just talking about the simultaneous juicy crispiness of KFC chicken buckets is enough to make your mouth water. But fried food is always unhealthy, and fried fast food is even worse for your body. This recipe may not be classified as healthy, but the oven-bake is certainly healthier than frying your chicken in oil!




Serves: 4 / Prep Time: 20 mins. / Cook Time: 35 mins



1 lb. chicken breasts and legs

1/2 C. flour

1/2 C. panko

1 tsp. salt

2 tsp. pepper

1 tsp. oregano

1/2 cup melted butter

1 C. butter milk

Spray butter


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a bowl, combine the flour, panko, salt, pepper, and oregano. Mix well. Pour the butter milk into a separate bowl. Pour the melted butter into a baking dish. Dip your chicken first into the butter milk, then the flour mixture, and finally lay them out in the baking dish. Cook for 15 minutes. Coat the chicken with a layer of spray butter and cook for an additional 10 minutes. Repeat with another layer of butter and another 10 minutes or until cooked through.
