Delectable Dark Chocolate Whiskey Truffles

Little balls of chocolate are bound to be a crowd favorite, so why not kick it up a notch and give them an adult kick? Whiskey and chocolate are a great combination, and the sea salt will bring these truffles together as the star of the night.

Serve: 10 / Prep: 2 hours / Cook: 5 mins.


1 lb. dark chocolate chips

1/3 C. heavy cream

2 T. butter

1/3 C. whiskey

1 tsp. sea salt


In a microwave safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, cream, and butter. Heat for 30 seconds and stir mixture. Continue 30 second intervals, stirring between each until melted. Add the whiskey and seat salt and whisk together. Let set in refrigerator for 2 hours. Use a melon baller or spoon to scoop out your desired truffle shape. Form into balls and set aside on a serving platter. Top with cocoa powder, sprinkles, or powdered sugar if desired. Chill and serve.
