Bacon, Corn, And Broccoli Chowder

Spend those rainy days indoors with a warm bowl of chowder. What better way to give your chowder a kick than with some bacon? Add some crumbled bacon to this recipe to satisfy your taste buds!Ingredients:

  • 5 bacon slices, cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/4 C. flour
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 1 peeled baking potato, diced
  • 1 broccoli head, cut into small florets
  • 10 oz. frozen corn kernels
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 C. milk
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Cook bacon in a pot until crisp. Drain and set aside. In same pot, cook onions for 8 minutes.
  2. Add flour and stir for 1 minute. Mix in broth and potatoes, and cook 10 minutes. Pour in milk, broccoli, thyme, and corn kernels. Cook for 10 minutes and season with salt and pepper. Serve and top with bacon.
