Double Chocolate Hot Chocolate

This intense hot chocolate isn’t for the faint of heart! This hot chocolate recipe features milk chocolate and bittersweet chocolate, creating a thicker and richer hot chocolate unlike anything you’ve ever tasted.Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ C. whole milk
  • 2 C. half-and-half
  • 8 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 8 oz. milk chocolate, chopped
  • 2 Tbs. granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • chocolate sauce, for garnish
  • mini marshmallows, for garnish


  1. Add milk and half-and-half to a saucepan and heat over medium heat just before it simmers.
  2. Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate pieces. Stir until completely melted. Add sugar and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  3. Reheat the mixture over medium-low heat and stir. Pour into mugs once it is reheated. Garnish mugs with marshmallows and chocolate sauce.
